Election of Officers – FYE 24

The SCIP Board of Directors presents the following officers for election by the Members. Each officer’s term begins July 1, 2023 and extends for two years (except as otherwise indicated). Your ballot will be sent to you via email. Active Members as of June 30, 2023, are eligible to vote for Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Affiliate Members as of June 30, 2023, are eligible to vote for Affiliate Director.

Polls will close on Monday, July 17, 2023, at midnight Pacific Time.

 

Jill Goedken, Vice-President

Jill Goedken, AIA, CSI, CDT, CCS, SCIP
Jill has over twenty-five years’ experience as a practicing architect, project manager and firm leader, and for the last fifteen years has been primarily involved in the coordination, development, and writing of project specifications on projects of all types and sizes.  Her passion lies in applying her experience to assist project teams create a great set of documents, with the goal to become a seamless part of each and every team SPECcetera is invited to be a part of.  Jill founded SPECcetera LLC in 2016, as a woman-owned specifications consulting business, which now has 2.5 employees. She is currently the Secretary of the CSI North Central Region and has also served on the board of Central Iowa Chapter of CSI for the past 7 years.



Lisa Murray – Secretary

Lisa Murray, CSI, CCS, LEED AP BD+C, SCIP
Lisa Murray is excited to join the board as Secretary to complete the one-year remainder of Elias Saltz’s term. She is currently serving as the Communications Committee Chair and working to rebuild the SCIP website on a new platform which will combine member management, email newsletters, resource library and event registration. She is active in the CSI Houston Chapter and has previously served as a board member.



Treasurer – Elias Saltz

Elias Saltz, FCSI, CCS, CDT, SCIP
Elias was appointed SCIP Secretary in 2021 and subsequently elected to a full term in the position.  He is now seeking to be elected Treasurer. He spent the last six years as Treasurer of the CSI Chicago Chapter, which has a larger budget and reserves than SCIP; so he is experienced and comfortable managing the finances of a volunteer-led organization. He plans to continue SCIP’s good fiscal practices and leave it on solid footing when his term ends.  He is a CSI Fellow and long-time leader and volunteer for CSI on multiple levels. Professionally, he is Executive Vice President and Senior Specifier at Conspectus, Inc. When he’s not working, Elias’s activities include refereeing high school football and soccer, cycling, and reading.

 

Affiliate Director – Terumi Woods

Terumi Woods, LEED AP BD+C, CDT, Associate AIA, CSI, SCIP
Terumi Woods is a Specifier at Conspectus, Inc., with certification in LEED AP BD+C and CDT. Woods has lived on both coasts, beginning her career at Mock/Wallace Architects working on a broad range of projects in San Francisco. While in New York City, Woods was a Project Manager at the United Nations, working on the Headquarters Capital Master Plan. Her interests include environmentally conscious design, particularly embodied carbon strategies and Passivhaus. She is currently a member of CSI, SCIP, and is an Associate AIA. Woods received her BA in Geography from Hunter College and is in process to acquire her California architect license via the work experience pathway. To date she has passed all six of her NCARB ARE exams.
