What is this?
Business Bookkeeping 101 for Independents
This discussion is for specifiers who are getting started as independents, or are just considering going out on their own. We will discuss business bookkeeping basics including the following:
The importance of getting a business's books (financial records) set up correctly from the beginning, and how different company structures affect that.
Expenses and tax obligations for starting a business, and the potential of tax penalties for not keeping accurate records.
Whether a business needs an accountant, a bookkeeper, and/or bookkeeping software.
How adding employees changes things.
